About Professor Wang

Professor Shiming Wang L.Ac. graduated in 1962 from Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, one of the best Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) schools in China. In the past 40 plus years, he has worked as a TCM doctor in hospitals, taught in TCM Universities, led national medical research projects, and published award-wining books and research papers.

As a world-famous TCM practitioner, in the early 90’s Professor Wang was invited to Germany, Switzerland, Belgium, and Austria to give seminars on TCM and acupuncture, where his visit was widely reported by the local newspapers. Professor Wang was also interviewed by an American reporter when he was working at the Chengdu TCM University Hospital. The interview has been broadcasted repeatedly.

Professor Wang served as clinic director for the acupuncture department of Chengdu TCM University from 1985 to 1997. He has also been a trustee of the China Board of Acupuncture Association and an honored trustee of the German Board of Acupuncture Association. Currently, Professor Wang is a clinic supervisor at the American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in San Francisco. Professor Wang also sees patients in his clinics in Palo Alto and San Francisco, California.

Professor Wang is a Licensed Acupuncturist (L.Ac.) in the state of California.
